The Reference Department's purpose is to:

1. facilitate access to resources in order to support the information needs of students, faculty, and staff,
2. provide instruction on the use and potential of those resources to patrons pursuing information, or
3. inform patrons of alternative sources of information, and
4. ultimately connect patrons with the information they seek.
